Vadacom provides phone system technology to over 500 workplaces across NZ and Australia and has strategic relationships with a number of telcos and ISPs. The company was founded in 2005 and became New Zealand’s first SIP Trunks integrator, expanding to become a phone system software development company in 2010.
Clients include Honda, Glidepath, The New Zealand Financial Markets Authority and the Controller & Auditor-General as well as contact centres including Colmar Brunton, Earthcare Environment / Green Fingers and Procomm / Tonga Telecom. The first three clients to choose Vadacom, back in 2005, remain as clients today.
The company’s foundation, as New Zealand’s first SIP Trunks integrator, provided unique insights into what businesses need from a phone system. Vadacom’s merger with Brash Technology, in 2008, significantly strengthened the skillset in smooth and rapid deployment, making the Vadacom phone system one of the fastest and least disruptive to install. Vadacom’s investment in a VPN aggregation system and our software updates process, in the same year, has enabled the talented support team to focus on delivering outstanding customer service ever since.
Vadacom’s commitment to innovation was demonstrated by its release one of the world’s first iPhone based unified communications interfaces, in 2010, and continues to be recognised; in October 2014, Vadacom was awarded $100,000 in R&D matching funds from Callaghan Innovation’s Research and Development Growth Grants scheme.
In September 2014, co-founders of the business, Igor Portugal and Scott Keon, were joined by investors and commercial growth experts Aaron Ridgway and Lindsay Nightingale, impressed by the team, the phone system and by the potential to deliver even more. The new Board has brought together the experience and investment to support Vadacom’s next stage of sales and technology growth.
